As we get closer to the Google Pixel 8a’s launch, leaks about the device’s specifications and price don’t seem to come to an end. A recent leak from a Moroccan smartphone retailer on Instagram has unveiled some exciting details about the upcoming Google Pixel 8a.
The seller posted a story on his Instagram account showcasing the Pixel 8a in two of the rumored four stunning colors: Bay (blue) and Mint (green). In the story caption, we can see that the base model will offer 128 GB of storage, with the possibility of a higher-tier 256 GB variant. Plus, both storage options will come with 8 GB of RAM.
Update: The story has been deleted by the retailer.
Another interesting detail revealed in the leaked video is the Pixel 8a’s matte finish, a departure from the glossy finish seen on its predecessor, the Google Pixel 7a. This new finish adds a touch of elegance to the device while also reducing fingerprint smudges.

Unfortunately, the video doesn’t showcase the front of the phone properly since it’s covered with packaging paper.
The box contents of the Pixel 8a are the usual USB-C to USB-C cable, the USB-C to USB-A OTG adapter, and a SIM card ejector.

Google Pixel 8a Price Leaked Once Again
In terms of pricing, the Instagram seller mentioned a price of 4750dh (Moroccan Dirhams), which roughly translates to around INR 39,000 in Indian currency.
However, an earlier leak from a European retailer suggested a price of $709 CAD for the 8a’s 128 GB model, leaving the final price somewhat uncertain.
One thing we are certain about, though, is that the Pixel 8a will be priced higher than the Pixel 7a. Based on these leaks, we can expect the Pixel 8a to be priced at around INR 45,000 in India. I have covered this leak in detail here.
