Google launched its first-ever Pixel Watch in October 2022 which met with a mixed reception. Following the launch of the first smartwatch, Google worked on areas that posed complaints and launched the Pixel Watch 2 in October 2023. Now, with October 2024 just a few months away, the Pixel Watch family is set to get larger with the arrival of the Google Pixel Watch 3. A few days ago, some renders of Pixel Watch 3 surfaced online that revealed details about the upcoming smartwatch.

Now, in an interesting development, some renders of an elder sibling of the Pixel Watch 3 which will namely be the Google Pixel Watch 3XL have been shared by Android  Headlines in partnership with OnLeaks. These renders give us a glimpse of the first look of the Pixel Watch 3XL that might launch alongside the Pixel Watch 3 in select markets.

Tipster OnLeaks has shared some renders of the Pixel Watch 3XL that seem to share a similar design language as the Pixel Watch 3, Pixel Watch 2, and Pixel Watch. The watch has a curved glass finish with a digital crown on the right side and a single button above the crown for operation.

The report claims that the Pixel Watch 3XL will come with a 45mm dial and have the dimensions 45x45x13.89mm as compared to the Pixel Watch 3’s 40.79×40.73x14mm dimensions. Competitors Galaxy Watch 5 Pro and Apple Watch Series 9 come in 41mm and 45mm sizes.

This time Google is expected to market the elder sibling as an XL variant and not a Pro variant which means the Pixel Watch 3 won’t really get many upgrades.

Google Pixel Watch 3XL: Specs

The bigger dimensions of the Pixel Watch 3XL indicate Google might equip the watch with a larger battery. The renders confirm that the Pixel Watch 3XL will still use pogo pin-based charging.

Reports claim that the higher-end model will have a 1.45-inch display and a larger band attachment system than the Pixel Watch 3. This means users won’t be able to interchange the Pixel Watch 3XL’s bands with Pixel Watch 3 or any other models.

More details about the Pixel Watch 3XL will become official as October draws closer.
