Google’s Bard Advanced Spotted, Could Arrive As A Paid Model Linked To Google One

Google’s Bard, the AI chatbot available for free, has gained quite a lot of traction. Its language processing skills and the ability to double-check responses from Google Search make it more reliable. Although Bard rivals OpenAI’s GPT-3.5 directly, it is working on an advanced version to compete with GPT-4.0. Most recently, developer Bedros Pamboukian spotted references to Bard Advanced, a more powerful version of Google’s AI chatbot, on the company’s official website.

Bard Advanced Might Be Free For The First Three Months

The developer has spotted this information in the code of Google Bard’s official website. The first line in the code reads, “Try Bard Advanced for 3 months, on us.” The second sentence clarifies what the new version offers, saying, “Get more capable large language models with advanced math and reasoning skills with Bard Advanced for 3 months of us.” From what it looks like, Google will offer the Advanced AI chatbot for a free trial period of three months.

The Company Could Link Bard Advanced With Google One Subscription

However, anyone wanting to continue using the chatbot must pay a fee, similar to ChatGPT Plus. The developer also highlights how Bard Advanced could be linked to a Google One subscription that provides cloud storage. However, that is the extent of information available. Although Google announced that the most advanced version of Bard will be released in early 2024, its exact launch date isn’t clear yet.

Microblogging platform X (formerly known as Twitter) also offers its AI chatbot as part of a subscription. Grok AI is only available to the X’s Premium+ users, which costs Rs. 1,300 per month or Rs. 13,600 per year in India. However, unlike Google, X doesn’t allow users to try the chatbot for free.

In the past, we’ve also seen Google offering some of its services, like YouTube Premium or Google One, for free or a discounted price for a limited time. Further, adding Bard Advanced will increase the perks of getting a Google One subscription after all.
