Google has an intriguing array of Pixel products in store for 2025, featuring smartphones, foldable devices, smartwatches, and additional innovations. Here’s what you can anticipate from Google in the coming year.
Google Pixel 9a

The Google Pixel 9a is set to be the latest addition to the Pixel 9 lineup, marking Google’s first release of 2025, anticipated to be unveiled in March. This model is expected to maintain a price of $499 and will likely share several specifications with its Pixel 9 counterparts. The Pixel 9a will feature the Tensor G4 SoC and a 6.2-inch display, equipped with CGG3 protection and a brightness level of 2700 nits. On the rear, it will house a camera system consisting of a 48MP main sensor and a 13MP ultrawide lens. Additionally, the device will be powered by a 5100mAh battery with 23W charging capabilities. It will operate on Android 15 and promise seven years of software updates, consistent with previous models. The internal codename for the Pixel 9a is ‘Tegu’.

Google Pixel 10 Series

Recent leaks have emerged, indicating that the upcoming Google Pixel 10 series, set to launch in 2025, will mirror the Pixel 9 series with four distinct models: Google Pixel 10, Google Pixel 10 Pro, Google Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold. The internal codenames for these devices are ‘Frankel’ for the Pixel 10, ‘Blazer’ for the Pixel 10 Pro, ‘Mustang’ for the Pixel 10 Pro XL, and ‘Rango’ for the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Additionally, the Pixel 10 series is expected to feature qi2 magnetic charging technology.

There are rumors about the Pixel Flip phone too which might arrive in 2025, but no concrete evidence has been found about this one yet.
Google Pixel Watch 4

Google is also expected to roll out Pixel Watch 4 in 2025. The next-generation Pixel watch will come with upgrades in terms of battery life, health features, sensors, and more.

However, that doesn’t mean the existing tablet won’t get any new accessories. Pixel Stylus, Pixel keyboard, and other accessories that keep surfacing online might get a release in 2025.

Android 16 OS (Early release)

Google has confirmed that Android 16 will roll out earlier than usual, aligning with the schedule of device launches. This strongly hints towards the August release window for Android 16. Currently, Android 16 is ready for Beta release in January with final builds arriving post-April 2025. A report by 9to5Google corroborates these claims.
Google’s next SoC

Google is reportedly shifting from a partnership with Samsung to a fully custom design that Google itself will produce with the help of TSMC. Leaks have suggested that the Tensor G5 chipset will be based on the 3nm process at TSMC and have a 1+5+2 CPU configuration. This will bring improvements in terms of efficiency, thermal performance, video recording, and more.

AI will move a step ahead in 2025 and so will Google. AI will be a very integral part of the upcoming Pixel lineup and this will include many important Gemini features arriving next year.
