realme’s upcoming realme GT 8 Pro takes a slightly different approach to flagship design. Ahead of its India launch, we got an early look at how the phone blends customization, sustainability, and everyday practicality. Let’s take a closer look.

Switchable Camera Deco

The most noticeable feature is the switchable camera deco, which can be removed and replaced with different styles. The pre-attached circular module offers a cleaner look, but you also get a square module. You swap out the circular module and that reveals a non-removable robot-like design, on which the square module can be attached.

The non-removable robot-themed design adds some contrast with its metallic finish and looks nice. In total, you can have three different styles out of the box. realme has more camera module styles available in China, but it’s unclear if these will make it to India.

realme GT 8 Pro Build and Finish

realme GT 8 Pro

The GT 8 Pro feels sturdy yet comfortable, with slightly rounded edges and a flat metal frame. It comes in Diary White (fiberglass) and Urban Blue (leather-like recycled back), with a possible Green variant expected later. The Urban Blue finish stands out with its textured surface that resists fingerprints and adds grip. The phone is 8.2 mm thick (fiberglass) and 8.3 mm (leather), weighing around 214 to 218g.

The Urban Blue version uses recycled materials and eco-friendly dyes. The back panel’s texture holds up well to minor scratches and feels durable in daily use. realme highlights that it’s globally certified for using recycled materials, giving the design a practical and cleaner edge.
