HMD Skyline tech specs

The HMD Skyline is not the biggest phone in the market, but it is not the smallest either. The dimensions of the smartphone are 159.84 x 75.66 x 8.9 mm, while the weight is 209.5 kg. On the front, the smartphone features a punch-hole display with relatively thicker bezels on all sides, while the back panel is made of textured tempered glass.

What’s good is that the smartphone supports Gen2 repairability with easy display, back cover, battery, and charging port repairs through iFixit. Last but not least, the smartphone features an IP54 dust and water resistance rating.

HMD Skyline Specifications

Out of the box, the HMD Skyline comes with a 6.55-inch pOLED screen that supports a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. Further, the screen is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3, which initially came out in 2013. Complementing the screen are stereo speakers and support for Qualcomm aptX adaptive audio support technology.

Under the hood, the HMD Skyline runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC and features up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. Those who want can extend the storage to 512GB using a microSD card slot.

What sets the phone apart from other models in the segment is a triple camera setup. First, there’s a 108MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization. Then, there’s a 50MP telephoto sensor that provides 4x optical zoom. Last but not least, HDM Skyline features a 13MP ultrawide camera with Capture Fusion technology.

On the front, users get a 50MP selfie shooter for clicking pictures or attending video calls. While the primary camera can record 4K videos at up to 30 fps, the front camera can only record videos in 1080p at up to 60 fps.

Powering the smartphone is a 4,600 mAh battery that supports 33W wired (compatible with QC 4.0 and PD 3.0 PPS technology), 15W magnetic wireless charging, and 5W reverse wireless charging. The phone also supports Qi2 wireless charging, which allows for faster wireless charging. The battery is rated to retain up to 80% of the original charge-holding capacity after 800 full charge cycles.

The HMD Skyline runs on Android 14 and will get two major Android operating system upgrades from the smartphone’s global launch date. Further, the company has also promised to provide three years of security updates.

HMD Skyline Price And Availability

The HMD Skyline will be available in India from September 17, 2024, starting at Rs. 35,999. Interested buyers can get the phone at Amazon, HMD’s official website, and retail stores in Neon Pink and Twister Black colors. As part of the launch offer, the company offers a free 33W fast Type-C charging adapter.
