Honor is all set to launch Honor 200 Series 5G in India on 20th July. The Honor 200 Series will include two smartphones- Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro. The smartphones were recently seen on the BIS listing and the product page went live on Amazon confirming a Prime Day Sale Launch on July 20. However, before the Honor 200 Series, the brand rolled out the next-generation Magic OS 8.0 for its existing Honor 90 smartphone. It comes with various new features and will be available for Honor X9b later in July 2024.

Honor Magic OS 8.0: New Features
Honor’s Magic OS 8.0 features a four-layer AI structure. The base layer supports cross-device and cross-OS AI for shared computing power and services while the platform-level AI layer offers a personalized experience. The third layer makes apps better with AI while the top layer connects to cloud AI services, making privacy better.
1. Magic Portal- The Magic Portal feature understands messages you receive and directs you to relevant applications, thus allowing ease of tasks with a single gesture. There are AI Smart Folders and AI Blur for better privacy and usability so that you can access apps faster and more securely.
2. Magic Anywhere Door- It is a simple drag-and-drop file transfer feature. Users can long-press and drag text, pictures, files, videos, and more for quick storage thus increasing efficiency. There is a 3-finger swipe feature that allows global searches across devices.
3. Magic Ring- This feature simplifies multitasking across devices with a swipe. It supports up to eight concurrent services including screen sharing, network sharing, mouse sharing, window sharing, call sharing, camera sharing, notification sharing, and keyboard sharing.

4. Magic Capsule- It is an interface that offers quick access to important functions like alarms and calling. It keeps you updated on notifications like timers, boarding times, meeting schedules, and order statuses.
5. MagicLM AI– MagicLM, is Honor’s on-device AI language model that is made to improve the efficiency of human interactions. The language uses a billion parameter structure within Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 to improve personalization and safety.
6. Magic Lock Screen- It offers a full-screen AOD for personalized lock screen customization. There are parallel spaces for added safety with isolated contacts and info.

Magic OS 8.0: Availability
The update is already available for Honor 90 and will be rolled out for Honor X9b users later this month (by the end of July 2024). Honor 200 Series will come with Magic OS 8.0 installed.
