Honor X9c Goes Official with Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC & massive 6600mAh battery

Honor launched the X9b smartphone in India in February 2024. Now, the company has launched its successor Honor X9c in Malaysia with top-notch specs like the Snapdragon 6 Gen1 chipset, 6600mAh battery, IP65M rating, and more. The smartphone aims to cater to mid-budget consumers and is expected to arrive in India in January-February 2025.

Honor X9c: Features

The Honor X9c flaunts a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 4000 nits brightness, and eye protection capabilities. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset paired with Adreno 710 GPU, up to 12GB RAM, and up to 512GB onboard storage. The smartphone runs Android 14-based Magic OS 8.0.

Honor X9c features a 108MP main camera at the back with OIS along with a 5MP ultrawide angle lens. At the front is a 16MP selfie camera. Under the hood, it draws juice from a 6600mAh battery with 66W wired fast charging speed. Additional features include 5G, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, OTG, GPS, USB Type-C port and more. The smartphone measures 162.8×75.5×7.98mm and its weight is 189 grams. Honor X9c is IP65M rated for withstanding up to 2m drop. The ‘M’ in the rating stands for the ability to resist water exposure even while in motion.

The Honor X9c has been announced in 2 storage configurations in Malaysia-

  • 12GB RAM+256GB storage- MYR 1499 (Rs. 28,700)
  • 12GB RAM+512GB storage- MYR 1699 (Rs. 32,500)

The smartphone is listed in an 8GB+256GB variant on the global website but the pricing hasn’t been revealed yet.

Honor X9c comes in Titanium Black, Jade Cyan, and Titanium Purple hues and it is up for pre-orders in Singapore via online retail stores.
