Steps to Deactivate Your Threads Account
- Open the Threads App on your device and click on the profile picture in the bottom right corner of the app.
- Tap on the Menu Icon in the top right corner to access the settings menu.
- Select Account.
- Click on Deactivate Profile.
- Confirm that you want to deactivate your account by clicking on Deactivate Threads Profile.
As soon as you do this, you will be logged out of your Threads Account and reach the login screen.
What Does Deactivating Threads Account Mean?
Deactivating your Threads Account means your profile, threads, replies, likes and followers will be temporarily disabled and hidden from others. The account will not be permanently deleted and can be reactivated anytime by logging back in with your username and password.
If you want to delete your Threads Account permanently, there is no way to do that at present as your Instagram account will be deleted along with it.
