The most unique and exclusive identity of your mobile phone is its IMEI number. The IMEI (International Mobile Station Equipment Identity) is a unique number assigned to every mobile phone sold via official channels. This is very useful in withdrawing any information about your cell phone. In case you lose your mobile or it is stolen from you, you need this number for any possibilities to get your phone tracked. Even if you need to file a missing report for your phone, you are asked to mention the IMEI number. So here are the guidelines to find your IMEI number.

USSD Code:

Dial *#06# from your mobile phone and the IMEI number will flash on your screen. This code works for every mobile. For a dual sim mobile phone, there are 2 IMEI numbers, as there is a unique IMEI number for each sim slot in a phone.

Other than USSD code, you can find the IMEI number inscribed inside the back panel of your phone beneath the battery. Generally IMEI numbers were placed near sim card trays in older mobiles. In iPhone 5 and above, IMEI is directly printed on the rear panel. In iPhone 4s and older versions, IMEI number is written on the sim card tray.
