OTT Giant Netflix has rolled out an all-new ‘Moments’ Feature which will allow the viewers to share, relive, and save their favorite scenes from web series and movies streaming on the platform. There are moments when while watching a specific scene you feel it left you dumbstruck or has stayed with you even after a while. This new Netflix Moments feature will let you share and relive that scene again and again seamlessly.

The feature has rolled out for the Netflix app on mobile devices and Netflix Moments for Android has been confirmed to roll out in the coming weeks. Let us talk about the feature in detail.

Netflix Moments Feature: What is it?

Netflix Moments Feature will allow the users to get more out of iconic scenes from their favorite shows and movies by bookmarking and saving them within the app and also sharing them with friends. As clips from Netflix titles are already popular on social media, the OTT giants probably want to get more out of it by bringing more attention to the content it is streaming.

Netflix has even confirmed that this new feature is not a one-off or momentary thing. It will get more updates in the future to make it more fun and simpler for users.

Talking about it, Netflix’s Giancarlo Esposito said, “I know firsthand there’s something magical that happens when a powerful story finds its audience on Netflix. Suddenly everyone is captivated and can’t stop talking about it, and that passion just keeps compounding.”

  • The Netflix blog post says that an all-new ‘Moments’ option will be visible when watching content on the giant’s mobile app on iOS. This option will be alongside other media player options including episodes, audio and subtitles, and playback speed.
  • To save a particular moment, the subscribers will need to swipe to the bottom of the screen and tap the Moments option. This will save the clip in the My Netflix tab in the mobile app and from there, the users will be able to instantly share that scene with family or friends via WhatsApp, Snapchat, or Instagram Messenger.

So now, whether you are watching Kanthony’s bee scene in Bridgerton or Rani and Rishu gambling their life away in Haseen Dilruba 2, you can store these moments in memories for a longer time. This is because when you save your moments, you can revisit them anytime on your phone. Even if you rewatch an episode or movie, it will start playing from the scene you bookmarked.

For now, only iOS mobile users will be able to use this feature. It will be available for Android users soon.
