Of the 26 new models, seven will be completely new nameplates, six will undergo complete model redesigns, seven will be updated versions, and six will be new variants of existing models. Some of these vehicles will help the automaker enter new categories in India, such as MPVs positioned above the Alcazar and off-road SUVs rivalling those of the likes of the Mahindra Thar and Maruti Jimny.

The powertrain mix includes 13 combustion-engine models, six CNG variants, five dedicated electric vehicles, and eight hybrid models, providing a practical bridge to electrification in India. It’s worth noting that the company’s first locally manufactured electric vehicle is expected to arrive by 2027.

Hyundai also plans to launch an India-specific electric SUV with complete localization of design and manufacturing. With all the launches and new models, the company aims to increase its market share to 15% by FY30.
