February was a good month for the Indian car market. The market remained strong and Indian brands were among the top-selling brands, followed by the likes of Hyundai, Toyota, Kia, and more. Maruti Suzuki remained the market leader by a massive margin, followed by Tata Motors, and then Mahindra. The strong demand for SUVs continued in February 2026, and the top 10 selling cars amounted to a total of 1,70,127 units during the month of February 2026, showing a steady year-on-year growth. And while the car sales grew as compared to the same time last year, we saw a slight dip in the numbers as compared to the previous month of January 2026.
