Infinix is gearing up for its next entry-level phone in India dubbed as Infinix Smart 5A. The device will make its official debut on August 2 and will be available through Flipkart. Also, the company has partnered with Jio for additional benefits to customers.
Let’s first take a look at the offer details and then follow with what we know thus far about the phone.
Infinix-Jio Offer for Smart 5A
Infinix has established a partnership with Jio under the ‘JioExclusive’ device lock program. It will allow customers to enjoy an upfront cashback of INR 550 on the purchase of Infinix Smart 5A as part of Jio price support. Here’s how it works:
There will be two options —
- Customers can instantly avail a discount of the said amount while buying from Jio POS Authorized retailer. The retailer will lock the device with a Jio SIM (primary SIM that is).
- For orders made on Flipkart, buyers can apply via the MyJio app within 15 days of purchase. Once their credentials and device eligibility are confirmed, they just have to provide a UPI handle to receive a cashback of INR 550 straight to their bank account.
Now, note that by taking part in this program, the primary SIM of your phone will be locked with a Jio connection. Moreover, you will have to use this Jio number as the primary SIM for at least 30 months. So due to some reason, if later on you want to leave the JioExclusive program, you will have to refund a portion of the credited cashback that they got earlier. What this amount would be isn’t known at the moment.

Infinix Smart 5A Specs
The Infinix Smart 5A will ship with a 6.52-inch HD+ waterdrop notch display. The phone will be powered by a big 5000mAh battery. The rear panel will have a fingerprint sensor and dual-camera setup though the sensor details are still behind the curtains.
The device will be available in three color options – Ocean Wave, Quetzal Cyan, and Midnight Black. And again, we have to wait till August 2nd for knowing further details about Smart 5A.
Meanwhile, the predecessor of the phone i.e. Infinix Smart 5 is currently retailing at a price of INR 7,199. It had entered the market with a 6.82-inch HD+ waterdrop display. The phone sports a dual rear camera with a 13MP sensor and a low-light sensor. The selfie camera includes an 8MP snapper.

The Infinix Smart 5 is powered by an octa-core Helio G25 processor coupled with 2GB RAM and 32GB built-in storage. The device boasts a massive 6000mAh battery. It runs on Android 10 OS.
