The company touts the chipset as the “fastest desktop processor.” The latest generation of chipsets pushes the 14th-generation desktop processors to their fastest speeds yet, building on the platform set by the 6.0GHz Core i9-13900KS processor that came out last year. For powerful performance, the i9-14900KS has 24 cores, 32 threads, and 36 megabytes of Smart Cache. Let’s look at the new chipset’s specifications, features, and price.

Intel Core i9-14900KS Key Features

  • The processor provides up to 6.2GHz max turbo frequency with Intel Thermal Velocity Boost tech, making it the fastest desktop processor speed on the market.
  • The processor comes with 24 cores, including eight performance cores and 16 efficiency cores, along with 32 threads, 150-watt processor base power, and 20 PCle lanes for extending the onboard storage.
