iPhone 17e’s Rumored Release Timeline

According to the Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, the iPhone 17e could debut in the “first half of the year.” Last year, Apple announced the iPhone 16e (hands-on review) on February 16, after which the handset went on sale on February 28, 2025.
If Apple follows a similar timeline, Apple could announce the iPhone 17e in February (or March). We’re expecting the company to launch the handset via a press release or a short video via its official social handles.D

iPhone 17e’s Specifications (Leaked)
The tipster also mentions some details about the iPhone 17e’s specifications. For instance, the phone could feature a 6.1-inch 60Hz LTPS OLED screen, similar to the one we’ve seen on the iPhone 16e.
Instead of the massive notch up front, the iPhone 17e could feature a Dynamic Island, making it look like modern iPhones. Since the phone features a Dynamic Island cutout, it could also include the Face ID module.
Under the hood, the handset could run on Apple’s A19 silicon chip, which also powers the iPhone 17 (review). Out of the box, the iPhone could run on iOS 26.3. From what we can see, the iPhone 17e is shaping up to be an excellent smartphone for someone who wants a no-nonsense iPhone that gets the basics right.
