TL; DR
- Apple iPhone 18 Pro rumored to feature a deep red finish, based on industry speculation trends.
- Leak supported by Mark Gurman, suggesting burgundy-like shade replacing brighter Product Red tones.
- Expected upgrades include smaller Dynamic Island, 2nm A20 Pro chip, variable aperture camera improvements.
Apple hasn’t officially confirmed it, but the rumor mill is going bonkers about this year’s iPhone 18 Pro colors. A fresh leak from Digital Chat Station (via Weibo) suggests that the iPhone 18 Pro will launch in a deep red finish.
Rather than sourcing the information from supply chains, the tipster has based the prediction on something that is very interesting. DCS claims that many Android-based smartphone manufacturers are going after a new deep-red colorway for their upcoming flagships.

What is The Deep Red Leak Actually Based On?

The manufacturers, per DCS, believe Apple could launch the iPhone 18 Pro models in the same colorway, which is why they’re integrating it into their lineup as well, something we’ve seen before.
Whether based on Android manufacturers or supply chains, the DCS tip corroborates the older one from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who claimed (in February 2026) that the iPhone 18 Pro could ship in a deep red finish this year.
The shade is described as closer to burgundy or maroon than the brighter Product Red tones we’ve seen on standard iPhone models in the past. But what about the earlier rumors of the purple and brown finishes? Furman believes that those might be the test variants for a new colorway and might not translate into actual finishes for the lineup.

What Else Should iPhone Buyers Expect This Year?
Regarding colors, the iPhone 18 Pro might skip on the classic and iconic black finish for a second consecutive year. Apart from colors, the iPhone 18 Pro could come with a smaller Dynamic Island, a 2nm A20 Pro chip with significant performance and efficiency gains, and a variable aperture on the primary camera.
Furthermore, the iPhone 18 series could debut alongside the first-ever iPhone Fold, making September 2026 one of the most happening months at the Apple headquarters and retail partners.
