Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO is currently developing its next flagship smartphone series for the global market, including India. Following the release of the iQOO 12 5G in December 2023, the iQOO 13 Series is now in progress with enhanced features and capabilities. Initially rumored to consist of two models – iQOO 13 5G and iQOO 13 Pro 5G, it was anticipated that only the base model would be launched in India, mirroring the strategy used for the iQOO 12 5G. However, recent leaks suggest that the Pro variant may be scrapped altogether. Speculations surrounding the iQOO 13 Series have been circulating for some time, and a reputable tipster has now disclosed information regarding the specifications of the upcoming iQOO flagship.

Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station took to Weibo to reveal key specs of iQOO 13 5G. According to the tipster, the iQOO 13 5G will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. While earlier leaks claimed a 1.5K display for the base and a 2K display for the Pro version, the new leak indicates a 2K flat OLED panel for the base model. The screen is also expected to be integrated with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. Other than that, iQOO 13 5G is expected to be IP68 rated.

When asked whether these specs are for vanilla or Pro version, DCS claimed that the specs would be for iQOO 13 5G as the iQOO 13 Pro 5G has been axed by the brand. The news seems to be true as earlier Pro models like iQOO 12 Pro, iQOO 11 Pro, and iQOO 10 Pro were solely launched in China. This time it looks like there will be no Pro Variant at all.

Other rumored specs of the iQOO 13 5G include up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB onboard storage. It is expected to pack a massive 6000mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging support.

iQOO 13 5G is expected to launch in November this year. However, no concrete timeline has been revealed so far.
