The Chinese smartphone manufacturer iQOO is set to unveil its flagship Android device — the iQOO 15 — later this year. Given that the iQOO 13 (review) turned quite a few heads with the performance it offered, and, more importantly, at the price at which it is provided, expectations are naturally high for its successor. Most recently, a reliable source from China has shared some details about the smartphone’s specifications, so let’s have a look at it.

iQOO 15 Roundup
Screen

According to the Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, the iQOO 15 will feature a 6.8-inch 2K flat (AMOLED) screen, manufactured by Samsung. This could mark a big change for the company, as the iQOO 13’s screen was manufactured by the Chinese display solutions provider, BOE. While this is the extent of the information available about the smartphone’s screen, we can also expect it to support a 144Hz variable refresh rate.
Processor
Under the hood, iQOO’s flagship Android smartphone will run on the successor to the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which could be called the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, depending on what Qualcomm deems fit. Earlier today, we published an article on how the chipset could set a new record on the AnTuTu 10 benchmark platform by scoring over four million points.

In fact, the iQOO 15 could be one of the first smartphones to feature Qualcomm’s upcoming chipset in India. Along with the chipset, the phone is expected to feature up to 16GB of RAM, 1TB of fast UFS 4.0 storage, and a dedicated co-processor for boosting the effective frame rate while playing video games (likely the successor of the Supercomputing Chip Q3).
Battery & Cameras

Moreover, the handset should offer a notable performance improvement over the iQOO 13. Powering the handset could be a 7,000 mAh battery that supports 100W wired charging (most likely a silicon-carbon battery). This could be one of the largest batteries on a mainstream Android flagship. Regarding optics, the handset could feature a 50MP (1/1.5″) primary camera, another 50MP periscope zoom camera (could provide optical zoom between 3x and 5x), and another 50MP third camera (cited from another report).
iQOO 15 Launch Timeline
Last year, the iQOO 13 was unveiled in October, and we expect this year to be no different. If all goes well, the iQOO 15 could go official in China by October 2025. Following its launch in its native market, the handset is expected to arrive in India by December 2025.
