TL; DR
- In a post on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo, iQOO’s product manager has confirmed that the iQOO 15 will support wireless charging.
- In addition to wireless charging, the iQOO 15 will also feature a massive seven-cell Blue Ocean battery, which supports Global Direct Drive Power Supply 2.0, enabling more efficient charging while gaming, streaming content from OTT platforms, and using the phone in other ways.
The iQOO 15 is reportedly set to launch on October 15, 2025, in its native market, and shortly after in India. Ahead of the handsets’ anticipated launch, iQOO’s executive has confirmed a key feature that has been missing from the flagship handset for years.
iQOO 15 to Get Wireless Charging
In a post on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo, iQOO’s product manager has confirmed that the iQOO 15 will support wireless charging. This is a major upgrade compared to the iQOO 13 (review), the iQOO 12 (review), or the iQOO 11 (review), for that matter, as none of them supported wireless charging.
The announcement comes at a time when almost all mainstream models competing with iQOO’s flagships have this feature. However, whether the phone will feature magnetic wireless charging, like the one seen on the Pixel 10 series, remains unclear.
In addition to wireless charging, the iQOO 15 will also feature a massive seven-cell Blue Ocean battery, which supports Global Direct Drive Power Supply 2.0, enabling more efficient charging while gaming, streaming content from OTT platforms, and using the phone in other ways.
The technology will also help iQOO extend the phone’s battery lifespan. According to rumors, the iQOO 15 is expected to feature a 7,000 mAh battery that supports 100W wired charging, as well as wireless charging. This is an upgrade over the iQOO 13, which featured a 6,000 mAh battery that supports 120W wired charging.
