Following the successful debut of the iQOO Neo 8 and Neo 8 Pro in China earlier this year, speculations are now circulating about the imminent launch of the iQOO Z8. Recently, China-based tipster DigitalChatStation has revealed some preliminary details regarding the iQOO Z8, further intensifying anticipation for the forthcoming device. Although the handset may potentially make its way to the Indian market, specific timelines for its arrival remain undisclosed.

As per the leak, the iQOO Z8 is expected to flaunt an LCD panel with an impressive 144Hz refresh rate, elevating the visual experience for users. However, the precise display size remains a well-kept secret. Notably, the phone will boast a dual-cell battery configuration, comprising two 2,440mAh batteries, resulting in a combined capacity of 5000mAh. Moreover, this battery will be equipped with support for lightning-fast 120W fast charging, ensuring rapid replenishment of power.

In another notable leak by tipster Panda Is Bald on Weibo, it is suggested that the iQOO Z8 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC, coupled with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. Alongside the impressive 144Hz refresh rate, the handset will sport an IPS LCD panel, further enhancing the device’s display capabilities. While additional specifics about the phone remain under wraps at the moment, further revelations are expected to surface soon. Industry insiders speculate that the iQOO Z8 may potentially debut in August, although an official launch date is yet to be confirmed.

Meanwhile, let us revisit the specifications of the existing iQOO Z7, which features a 6.64-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2388×1080 pixels. This display boasts a 120Hz variable refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 480 nits of peak brightness. Powering the device is the reliable Qualcomm Snapdragon 782 SoC, accompanied by the Adreno GPU for seamless performance. The phone is available in 8GB or 12GB LPDDR4X RAM configurations and offers 12GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage options. Operating on the latest Android 13 with OriginOS custom skin out of the box, the iQOO Z7 supports dual SIM 5G and 4G LTE connectivity, along with dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.

Regarding its camera prowess, the iQOO Z7 houses dual cameras, featuring a 64MP primary camera with OIS and LED flash, complemented by a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, users can rely on a 16MP snapper for capturing stunning selfies and engaging in video chats. To ensure security, the phone is equipped with a convenient side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

With the promising features of the iQOO Z7 as a foundation, enthusiasts eagerly await the official unveiling of the iQOO Z8, anticipating another cutting-edge offering from the brand, poised to cater to the needs of discerning smartphone users.
