Is TikTok Back In India? Here's What We Know

SmartPrix tried to access TikTok’s official website and successfully opened the “About” and “Contact” pages. However, we weren’t able to watch any videos on the platform, with the play button at the top right on the Contact page showing the notice about the platform being banned in June 2020.

We also checked the app stores on both Android and iOS devices, but to no avail. Currently, there’s no official statement from the platform or any of its owners at ByteDance about its return to India, nor has the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology spoken about the development.
