Reliance already has shared a lot of plans regarding infiltrating the Indian entertainment industry. We already know that the JioCinema application is available for all Jio users for free. Not only this, but the app is also serving as the source of watching the Indian Premiere League (2023) in India. Recent reports regarding the application suggest that the JioCinema app will be merged with the JioVoot. A report by OnlyTech suggested that the JioVoot subscription plans will be introduced at a starting price of Rs 99.

However, there is yet to be confirmed if the prices are on a monthly or quarterly basis. The information related to the new name of JioCinema and the plan prices has been revealed via the source code of JioCinema APK. Expectations are that the Rs 99 plan will be known as the JioVoot Super Plan. The development came right after Reliance’s media and content business President Jyoti Deshpande put a stamp on the fact that JioCinema is all set for expansion and takes a price to provide the content.

What will be different in JioVoot?

The Voot application for Android and iOS is already available in the Indian market for a starting price of Rs 299 for the annual plans. One of the biggest things in the play is that if Reliance will stream Indian Premiere League (IPL) without making the users pay a single buck or not. As mentioned by Deshpande in his interview, the IPL streaming will continue for free on the platform.

Nonetheless, other premium content may be protected by a paywall that will work on a subscription basis. It is also being said that around 100 popular movies and TV series will be added to the streaming platform of Jio. We can expect to know more about the subscriptions and other stuff as soon as IPL ends and Jio officials make an announcement regarding the same.
