Lava Storm Play 5G Debuts in India with World’s First Dimensity 7060 Chipset

Lava India has announced a new smartphone in the country that is the first in the world to get the MediaTek Dimensity 7060 SoC. Lava Storm Play 5G has arrived in India priced under 10k with features like a 50MP camera, 5000mAh battery, UFS 3.1 storage, and more. Lava has also launched the Storm Lite 5G version, and both these newly announced smartphones join the already existing Lava Storm 5G that came out in December 2023.

Lava Storm Play & Storm Lite: Price & Availability

Lava Storm Play 5G comes in a 6GB RAM+128GB storage variant for Rs. 9999. It will go on sale via Amazon on 19th June at 12 PM IST.  It comes in blue.

Lava Storm Lite 5G costs Rs. 7999 for the lone 4GB RAM+64GB storage version. It will be available via Amazon from 24th June 12 PM IST onwards. It comes in Astral Blue and Cosmic Titanium colors.

Lava Storm Play 5G: Specs

The Lava Storm Play 5G is the first-ever to be powered by the Dimensity 7060 chipset and is coupled with 6GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage. The device will run Android 15 out of the box and flaunt a 6.75-inch HD+ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate.

In terms of camera, Lava Storm Play 5G sports a 50MP Sony IMX752 primary sensor at the back and a 2MP secondary sensor alongside it. There is an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls. For audio, there is a single speaker,r while under the hood is a 5000mAh battery with 18W wired charging support. The device is IP64 rated and also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The Lava Storm Lite is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. It also comes with a 6.75-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device runs Android 15 and supports Dual SIM.

At the back is a 50MP Sony IMX752 main camera along with a 2MP secondary sensor as well. There is a 5MP selfie camera at the front, and under the hood is a 5000mAh powerhouse with 15W charging support. The smartphone is IP64 rated.
