Xiaomi’s global CEO, Lei Jun, recently announced the global launch date for the Xiaomi 14 series. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer launched two variants in the lineup, Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro, in its native market in October 2023. On February 1, 2024, Xiaomi India teased the arrival of the series in the country. Now, the top executive has confirmed the global launch date.

Xiaomi 14 Global Release Date

The series will debut globally on February 25, 2024. The company will showcase the smartphone at the Mobile World Congress, where it is about to host a smart ecosystem event. While the teaser confirms the availability of the two smartphones, there’s a good chance that the company could also reveal the Xiaomi 14 Ultra at the event.

The Company Might Release Xiaomi 14 Ultra As Well

Announcing the global launch date for handsets, Jun writes, “It’s a moment we Share. Feb 25th, the #LensToLegend journey begins. Get ready to be inspired.” The caption is followed by a hashtag. In the comments section, @soranya_0305 asks the CEO about the Xiaomi 14 Ultra’s arrival in Japan. In response, Jun says he can’t reveal too much but asks the user to “stay tuned for exciting news soon!”

It is important to mention that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra recently appeared on Geekbench. Further, the phone is tipped to feature satellite connectivity. In the camera department, it could feature the Leica Summilux lens which comes with an adjustable aperture for controlling exposure. With top-tier specifications, the Ultra could be priced higher than the regular and the Pro models in India.

Back in December, we reported about the leaked Xiaomi 14 Ultra specifications. The smartphone could come with four 50MP sensors, run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, and support 90W wired charging. It is also said to come in three colors: blue (with a glass back), orange, and black. Last but not least, we’ve also heard about the optional professional camera kit for enthusiasts.
