Lenovo Smart Clock and Smart Display with Google Assistant launched in India

Lenovo has made its debut in the smart home ecosystem with two new products – Lenovo Smart Clock and Lenovo Smart Display. The former is a 4-inch digital clock, while the latter as the name indicates, is a 10-inch touchscreen panel. Both come equipped with Google Assistant. If you recall, Google Nest Hub also launched in India, earlier this day.

So with the prevailing competition from the Amazon Echo Show 5 and Google Nest Hub, here are all the smart features that the Lenovo products have to offer –

Lenovo Smart Display

It has a 10-inch touchscreen display, which is bigger than the Nest Hub. You can interact with the usual kitty of Google websites and services. You could trigger the Google Assistant using your voice and command it to control the device handsfree. You get to browse Youtube, do a Google Search, video-call using Duo, set a background album from Photos for the Smart Display. In addition, it lets you configure Assistant-aided routines for managing your daily chores.

Lenovo Smart Display

It is available in Natural Bamboo color. The Smart Display can be seated horizontally or vertically, which is a nice-have feature. It can connect with other smart devices at your home. Lenovo offers a range over 10,000 products and 1,000 partner brands respectively.

Lenovo Smart Clock

This is more than the 4-inch Digital Clock, in dint of the built-in Assistant smartness. But unlike the Smart Display, it has simpler features like setting alarms, playing relaxing music and dimming lights at bed-time, notifying calendar events and weather info, displaying current playing music details, etc.

Lenovo Smart Clock

It acts as a Chromecast device and hence you can cast your favorite shows and music on to your TV or speakers with just your voice. While not in use, it acts as a digital photo album, playing photos from Google Photos. It serves as a monitor for the security camera installed at your house’s gateway.

Pricing and Availability

The Smart Clock is priced at Rs. 5,999 and the Smart Display at Rs. 14,999.

They will be available at Lenovo.com, Flipkart, Croma, Reliance Digital & Lenovo stores from early September 2019. For now, you can hop on to Flipkart, and click on ‘Notify-me’ to get more info that’ll be dispersed from August 28th, 2019.
