The 2026 Lexus ES follows the company’s “Provocative Simplicity” design philosophy, which is inspired by the LF-ZC concept. It combines a cliff-face nose with a coupe-like roofline and angular creases in the chassis.

The front fascia features a sealed-off look (it doesn’t have a Spindle Grille), twin L-signature DRLs, and blacked-out vertical elements at the bumper edges with the LED headlights. The side profile gets a rising beltline and a Z-shaped trim element that runs across the doors.

The EV rides on 21-inch aero-optimised wheels with 235/45 section tyres. The rear profile features two L-shaped signature lamps and connected LED bars with ‘Lexus’ lettering at the center.

Lexus ES 500e EV: Interiors

The interiors of the Lexus ES 500e are based on the “Clean Tech x Elegance” concept. In simpler words, they offer loads of useful features while making it easy to use and ensuring the interior or dashboard doesn’t look too cluttered.

The ES 500e’s dashboard is quite clean and minimal. There’s a 14-inch floating infotainment system (with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto) in the center with proximity-sensing controls that illuminate when your hand is detected (placed below the touchscreen). Speaker grilles and 3D-printed door pads also feature LED illumination.

A 12.3-inch instrument cluster sits behind the steering wheel, showcasing all the vital information about the car. The interior upholstery is available in either white or tan.

Among the features of the Lexus ES 500e are Mark Levinson audio, two wireless phone chargers, a heads-up display, a digital IRVM, multi-color ambient lighting, rear window sunshades, and a power-operated bootlid.

Combined system output is 343hp and 438 Nm, with a 0-100kph time of 5.5 seconds. The EV provides a claimed range of up to 580 kilometers. It supports 11kW AC home charging and a 150kW DC fast charger, which charges from 10-80% in under half an hour.

Active safety systems on the car include radar-guided cruise control, lane-change assist, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive high-beam assist, and a driver drowsiness monitor.
