LG Showcases AI-enabled 2019 TV Lineup For India: OLED TVs, Nanocell TVs, UHD TVs and Smart TVs

LG has upgraded its TV lineup in India for 2019. The new range of TVs includes ThinQ AI enabled Smart TVs, UHD TVs, NanoCell TVs, LED TVs, and Smart TVs. These TVs are further segregated in different series, and sizes, and cover a wide price spectrum ranging from Rs. 24,990 to Rs. 10, 99,990. LG hasn’t specified the individual prices of the various 2019 TV models in its press statement.

Most of these new LG TVs have AI smarts and employ by α (Alpha) 9 Gen 2 intelligent processor that powers AI tasks related to optimizing picture, sound, and brightness for these TVs based on ambient conditions and original content.

LG OLED TVs 2019

LG OLED lineup, that lies on the top rung, comprises of 7 TVs that allow users to choose between Google Assistant, Alexa, and LG’s own ThinQ AI smarts for tasks like smart home control, for searches, and more. Microphone to accept voice commands has been planted within “LG Magic Remote”.

LG NanoCell TVs

LG Nono Cell TVs employ a full array LED backlighting which gives LG more control over screen brightness in specific areas as compared to edge LED backlighting that you’d find on conventional TVs. These TVs also flaunt slim bezels, that LG refers to as nano bezels.

The NanoCell TVs also support AirPlay 2 and HomeKit that will help iPhone or iOS users share phone content and control home appliances via the Home app.

LG’s OLED TVs and NanoCell TVs also integrate support for Dolby Vision, Technicolor, HDR10 Pro, HLG Pro HDR Dolby Atmos audio support.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Younchul Park, Director-Home Entertainment, LG Electronics India, said, “We’re thrilled to introduce Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and AirPlay2 in our televisions that will certainly bring more convenience to our customers. This addition is LG’s commitment to simplifying the customers’ lives. With this built-in technology, users of LG televisions will be able to do much more than simply watching TV like, they can read news updates, check weather forecast, order food, essentially they can control their surroundings in a much easier and efficient way. We are confident that this new feature will elevate the home entertainment experience of both our existing and future consumer.”
