After dropping teasers for its new smart TVs, Lumio, the consumer technology brand by Circuit House Technologies, has launched the Vision 7 and Vision 9 models in India. Unlike regular televisions, the models promise to improve upon the common user pain points such as sluggish performance, prolonged boot time and app loading time, and poor Wi-Fi speeds.
Lumio Vision 7 Specifications And Key Features
Screen

First and foremost, the Vision 7 is available in three sizes: 43-inch, 50-inch, and 55-inch. All the models consist of a Blue LED backlight panel with a dedicated Quantum Dot enhancement layer, increasing the brightness up to 400 nits.
The 4K (60Hz) screens also support Dolby Vision, HLG, HDR10, up to 83% of the Rec. 2020 color gamut (on the 50-inch variant) and up to 114% of the DCI-P3 color gamut (on the 50-inch model). The color coverage differs for different screen sizes, but it seems the best for the 50-inch variant.
Audio
Complementing the screen are quad-driver speakers (two tweets + two full range), generating a maximum output of 24W on the 42-inch variant and 30W for the 50 and 55-inch variants. The speakers are tuned with support for Dolby Audio and Dolby Atmos (on the 50-inch and 55-inch variants) formats.

Performance

Under the hood, the Vision 7 runs on the BOSS quad-core processor, which, per the brand, is the “most powerful cores you can pack in a television.” The BOSS processor and 3GB of DDR4 RAM (which can retain up to nine apps at once) power what the brand claims is the “fastest TV.” Lumio goes above and beyond to emphasize how quick the television is with the help of elaborate comparisons.
For instance, the brand mentions how the industry average reboot time is 59.4 seconds and how the Lumio smart TVs reboot in 32.8 seconds (making them about two times faster). Interestingly, the brand has also compared the Netflix loading time, and the Lumio TVs are about 2.8x faster in that as well.
While frame drops in 4K 60 fps playback are less than five, the app installation time has also been reduced by 2.5x from the industry average. On paper, these are rather huge (and exciting) claims, and we would sincerely want to put those to test in a review.
Software

Out of the box, the Vision 7 runs on Google TV based on Android 11. It also offers Google Assistant and Google Cast. The brand has also equipped its smart TVs with a new TLDR section that seems to fetch useful information from various sections (like music and sports) and show them as widgets on the home screen.
Google TV also enables users to use their Google Photos album as screensavers and will support Gemini integration for AI summaries (as and when the feature arrives).

Remote

With the Lumio Vision 7, buyers will get the Minion remote control that houses the power button at the top, a Google Assistant button, the usual arrow keys (with an OK button in the center), shortcuts for back/home, increasing/decreasing volume, and dedicated buttons for OTT platforms like Netflix and Prime Video.
