Over a month after the initial reveal, the Indian automaker Mahindra has revealed the Pack 3 variant of its latest all-electric SUVs: the BE 6 and the XEV 9e. For those catching up, Pack 3 refers to the top variant of the vehicle, which comes loaded with all the features, a massive battery pack, and additional safety features.
Update (January 9, 2025): Mahindra has announced a three-phase test drive schedule for the BE 6 and XEV 9e.
- The bookings of the 79 kWh variants of the BE 6 and the XEV 9e will begin on February 14, 2025.
- First, the test drive will begin in six cities, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Pune, from January 14, 2025.
- The second phase of test drives begins on January 24, 2025, in the following cities: Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Cochin, Coimbatore, Goa, Howrah, Indore, Jaipur, Jalandhar, Kolkata, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Surat, Vadodara, Chandigarh, and Trichy.
- In the third phase, the company will begin test drives across the country i.e. on February 7, 2024.
Mahindra BE 6: Pack 3 Price

Mahindra BE 6’s introductory ex-showroom price for the Pack 3 (top) variant, with the 79 kWh battery pack, is Rs. 26.90 lakhs. However, the price doesn’t include the home charger, which would come as an additional cost to the buyers of the BE 6.

Mahindra BE 6: Pack 3 Features
In terms of features, Pack 3 offers all the must-have, good-to-have, and unique features that the company showcased during the launch. Right from the exterior, the BE 6 has a unique design language capable of turning heads.
While the front fascia features horizontally-placed headlights with C-shaped LED DRLs, the 19-inch aerodynamic tires dominate the side profile (upgradable to 20-inch rims) and the flush door handles. On the rear, the vehicle features aero scoops and a massive C-shaped LED tail light.

BE 6’s cabin consists of the two-spoke steering (with mounted controls), two 10.25-inch screens (one for the instrument cluster and the other for the infotainment screen), a multi-zone air conditioner, a panoramic glass roof with ambient lighting and a thrust lever-inspired drive mode selector in the center console.
It is important to mention that Mahindra has revealed the price for the 79 kWh battery pack variant of the BE 6. This variant offers a claimed range of 682 kilometers on a single charge, which could translate to around 500 kilometers in the real world. Further, the variant ships with a motor that produces 286 PS of peak power and 380 Nm of torque.

Safety features on the vehicle include seven airbags, 360-degree cameras, level-2 ADAS features like forward collision warning, emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and an electronic parking brake.
Mahindra BE 6: Pack 3 Test Drive And Delivery Schedule
According to a report by CarWale, test drives for the BE 6 Pack 3 will begin on February 7, while the bookings will commence on February 14, 2025. Deliveries, on the other hand, will start from early March 2025.

The XEV 9e appeals to a more mature audience with a toned-down yet classy exterior and interior design. For starters, the vehicle features connected LED DRLs on the front, a coupe-style sloping roofline on the side, flush door handles, 19-inch aerodynamic wheels (upgradable to 20-inch), and a protruding tailgate on the rear.
The car’s cabin is a little more familiar than that of the BE 6, as it borrows some elements from the ICE XUV 700. However, there are a few unique elements as well, like the triple 12.3-inch screens, a two-spoke steering wheel, and a luxurious drive mode selector. Additional cabin features include a multi-zone air conditioner, wireless phone charger, and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon speaker system.

Regarding the range, the 79 kWh XEV 9e claims a range of 656 kilometers on a single charge, which should easily translate to around 450 to 500 kilometers in typical driving conditions. Driving the rear wheels is a 286 PS motor that generates a peak torque of 380 Nm.

While the test drives of the XEV 9e will begin on January 14, bookings begin on February 14, 2025. After that, the company will start delivering the units from March 2025.
