Mahindra is all set to launch the new Mahindra XUV 7XO in India later today. The new car will come as an update to the already popular Mahindra XUV 700, which replaced the XUV 500 back in 2021. While the bookings for the new Mahindra XUV 7XO went live on December 15, the brand is set for a full unveiling later today. With just a few hours to go for the Mahindra XUV 7XO launch, let us take a look at what we can expect from the upcoming SUV from Mahindra.

Now, we don’t know how much the Mahindra XUV 7XO will be priced initially, but expect it to be similar to the outgoing Mahindra XUV 700. Currently, the XUV 700 is priced at ₹14.60 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards, while the top-spec variant is priced at ₹23.71 lakh. Given the updates and improvements, the Mahindra XUV 7XO is expected to see a slight price hike so we can assume the pricing to be somewhere between ₹15 lakh to ₹25 lakh.
In terms of the design, there are many changes, but the standard shape and size of the XUV 700 is still maintained. The front grille has been redesigned to fit in vertical elements with the Mahindra logo sitting in the middle. We are also getting new headlight clusters which will feature a two-pod LED setup with DRL elements.

The Mahindra XUV 7XO also gets a new design for its wheels, which are expected to be 18-inch alloy wheels. There is also a redesigned rear with new LED tail-lights and a new tailgate design. We are expecting the XUV 7XO to also get a redesigned bumper to fit in all the new elements. Apart from these, the Mahindra XUV 7XO is also expected to be launched in fresh new colours.
On the inside, the Mahindra XUV 7XO will come with a lot of updates and a lot of tech. The interior design is something Mahindra has also focused on a lot and it is expected to come with a triple-screen setup similar to the Mahindra XEV 9e or the Mahindra XEV 9s. The front passenger seat is also expected to come with a Boss Mode.
Further, the interiors are also expected to get a brand new two-spoke steering wheel with the new Mahindra “Twin Peaks” logo in the center. Apart from this, the Mahindra XUV 7XO is also expected to get the full suit of ADAS 2.0 features and we can expect a lot of soft-touch and leather finish across the cabin.

Now, coming to the powertrain, the Mahindra XUV 7XO is expected to come with the same engine and transmission options as the outgoing XUV 700. We can expect the same turbo-petrol and turbo-diesel engine options with the Mahindra XUV 7XO. The 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine in the Mahindra XUV 700 makes 200 bhp of power and 380 Nm of torque. The 2.2 litre turbo diesel engine, on the other hand, is capable of producing 185 bhp of power and 450 Nm of torque.
As with the Mahindra XUV 700, the XUV 7XO is also expected to get an all-wheel drive variant as well. The transmissions are also said to be the same as the Mahindra XUV 700 with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
