After months of rumors and reports, the largest automaker in the country has revealed its first all-electric SUV, the e-Vitara, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Whether it is the exterior or the interior, the vehicle features several contemporary design elements that make the e-Vitara stand out, and so does the 4WD system available on the top trim. Here’s everything you need to know about the electric car.

Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara: Variants And Price
Although Maruti hasn’t revealed the official price for the Maruti e-Vitara, buyers should expect the pricing to begin from Rs. 17 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the entry-level variant with the smaller battery pack.
Further, the pricing for the top-tier variant with the larger battery pack and all-wheel-drive capabilities could cost around Rs. 26 lakhs (ex-showroom). Although we expect the variant to be a bit pricey as it offers an all-wheel-drive system, Rs. 26 lakhs might be slightly on the higher side.
The variants in between should offer a balance between features and pricing. Pro tip: Keep an eye on the base variant of the model with the larger battery pack.
Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara: Battery Pack And Range
Maruti has confirmed that the e-Vitara will ship with two battery pack options. The baseline variant will sport a 49 kWh battery pack and a motor that produces 144 hp of peak power and 189 Nm of torque. However, the claimed range figures for this variant aren’t clear yet.
Then there’s the 61 kWh battery pack with a motor that produces 174 hp of peak power and 189 Nm of torque. This particular model offers a range of up to 500 kilometers on a single charge. However, this is the claimed range, and the real-world numbers could differ.
Then, there’s a 4WD version that produces a combined power of 184 hp and torque of 300 Nm (with a dual-motor setup). Maruti’s all-wheel-drive system is called e-AllGrip. It features two independent eAxles (one at the front and one 65-hp motor at the back) for better terrain management. This variant also provides a claimed range of 500 kilometers.

Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara: Exterior And Interior Design

First, the EV gets Y-shaped LED DRLs with LED headlamps, along with a blacked-out front grill (with the company’s logo in the center) and aggressive silver cladding at the bottom (with integrated fog lamps).

Weight: up to 1,900 kilograms
The side profile is dominated by large 18-inch alloy wheels, body-colored door handles for the front doors, a hidden handle for the rear doors, ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, and a blacked-out roofline (slightly tapered toward the bottom). At the rear, there’s a top-mounted spoiler and lightbar-shaped tail lamps.
The interiors don’t look like a Maruti car we’ve seen. The first thing that catches the eye is the two-spoke flat-bottom steering with mounted controls and a centrally-located logo. Then there’s the integrated dual-screen design, which consists of a 10.1-inch instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch infotainment screen.

The dashboard consists of a layered design (as also seen on several other cars released in the last year). With rectangular AC vents, a redesigned center console with an electronic parking brake, a rotary dial for terrain/drive mode selection, and a central armrest, the interiors of the car have an upmarket feel to them.
Additional cabin features include an automatic climate control system, wireless charger, panoramic sunroof, 10-way adjustable driver’s seat, and ventilated seats for the driver and co-driver.
Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara: Safety Features
The safety features of the vehicle include seven airbags (standard across all variants), a 360-degree camera system for enhanced visibility, front and rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, and a suite of Level 2 ADAS features, which include adaptive cruise control, collision warning, and more. Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara: Bookings And Delivery Timeline
