Maruti Suzuki India is planning to launch an all-new mid-sized SUV in the country as early as the third week of July. Maruti Suzuki to launch a new mid-sized SUV this month

Statistically, Maruti Suzuki reserved 67 percent of the overall market share in the non-SUV segment which has now dropped to 50%. In the mid-sized SUV segment, it has Maruti Suzuki S-Cross and Brezza which is where it could use another model to get traction in the segment. Having a third model in the segment can boost sales and its dominance in the mid-sized SUV segment and across the entire automobile sales.

According to BGR, Maruti Suzuki is mum on the details regarding the upcoming mid-sized SUV although it will compete against the likes of Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta. Toyota’s Hyryder launched earlier on Saturday and it has positioned itself as India’s first mid-sized SUV with a hybrid powertrain whereas Maruti’s solution is likely a mild-hybrid powertrain.
