MediaTek Dimensity 9000 Geekbench results are out: Here’s how it fares against Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Exynos 2200

Qualcomm, MediaTek, and Samsung have already unveiled their premium Android chipsets globally including Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, Dimensity 9000, and Exynos 2200 respectively. Among the three, only Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is out with a few smartphones in the market and the rest two are still awaited for their performance benchmark results.

Now, a preliminary Geekbench 5 score for the abovementioned three top-tier SoCs has been shared by Ice Universe on Twitter along with Snapdragon 888 and Apple’s A15. Among all the Android chipsets, MediaTek Dimensity 9000 has outperformed the others scoring higher single-core and multi-core performance.

As per the report, MediaTek Dimensity 9000 has scored 4410 points on multi-threaded workload and 1278 points on single-threaded workload leading the scoreboard in Android. Now although the actual performance of the SoC hasn’t seen daylight, it is believed to give close competition to both Qualcomm and Samsung processors.

MediaTek Dimensity 9000 Chipset Specs

Launched back in November 2021, the Dimensity 9000 comes with an ARM Cortex-X2 CPU with three Cortex-A710 and four Cortex A-10 cores. It sports the latest 4nm process node integrated with ARM MaliG710 GPU. It is manufactured to support up to 180Hz refresh rate display panels. It can record 4K HDR video and click still images with up to a 320MP camera sensor.

The Dimensity 9000 SoC will support LPDDR5x RAM memory with up to 7500 Mbps bandwidth. The wireless connectivity options attached with the chipset are 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 standard, Wireless Stereo Audio, and BeiDou III-B1 C GNSS support.

The devices including the OnePlus 10R, OPPO Find X4, Realme GT Neo 3T, Vivo X80, Xiaomi 12T, and Xiaomi Redmi K50 are expected to arrive with Dimensity 9000 chipset later in 2022.
