MediaTek is leaving no stone unturned to compete with the Qualcomm chipsets that are ruling the market. The brand is all set to introduce the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 processor in the global market. The information on the Internet suggests that the processor will come paired with the Immortalis-G715 graphics processing unit (GPU) that provides hardware-level ray tracing. A tipster has suggested that the GPU performance of MediaTek Dimensity 9200 outclasses the Apple A16 Bionic processor.

Another report regarding the upcoming Dimensity processor said that on the basis of the AnTuTu benchmark test, it outperforms the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. As revealed by MediaTek, the processor will make its debut on November 8 at 12:00 PM IST. No other information regarding the chipset has been announced officially until now.

Not only this, the processors will most probably have a combination of Cortex X3 and Cortex A715 cores, along with the Immortalis-G715 GPU. It is said that the chipset will have enhanced imaging performance. Rumours have it that the Vivo X90 series will be the first smartphone series to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 processor.

Mediatek Dimensity 9200 processor competition

Now, without a doubt, the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 processor will compete with the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Considering that the AnTuTu benchmarks show Dimensity 9200 SoC will overpower Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, on paper, things have been different in the past.

The MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor was even unable to outclass the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, which was launched a couple of years ago. Keeping the above details in mind, we are skeptical that in terms of practical usage, MediaTek’s latest chipset will be ever able to outshine the Snapdragon offering. However, we will update you as soon as we get to know any other details about the two.
