Every year, MediaTek and Qualcomm release their flagship mobile processors that power top-tier Android smartphones. For instance, the Dimensity 9200 SoC (2022) powers smartphones like the Oppo Find X6 and the Vivo X90 series. On the other hand, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC powers smartphones like the Galaxy S23 series. And with the Snapdragon Summit around the corner, MediaTek is gearing up to release its next generation of Dimensity 9 series chipset soon.

Dimensity 9300 To Have A 3.25GHz Performance Core

The MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC is said to come with four Cortex-X4 and four Cortex-A720 cores. Per tipster Digital Chat Station, the fastest core carries a clock speed of 3.25GHz. Then, there are three cores clocked at 2.85GHz and the remaining four cores at 2.0GHz. Generally, mobile processors have a similar cluster so that the more powerful cores can handle demanding tasks while the others help save battery by taking up lighter tasks.

In comparison, the purported Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, which is about to launch soon at the Snapdragon Summit, is touted to have a clock speed of 3.19GHz. Further, the chipset should come with five 2.96GHz and two 2.27GHz cores. Based on the maximum clock speed, Digital Chat Station claims that the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 will be 10 percent faster than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

A couple of days ago, the same tipster claimed that he had seen Antutu V10 benchmark scores of the two mobile chipsets and the Dimensity 9300 SoC scores better (both in CPU and GPU tests). Further, MediaTek’s upcoming processor could offer a 15% overall improvement over its predecessor and a 40% reduction in energy efficiency. Nonetheless, all the information is mere leaks until the company breaks cover on its upcoming chipset, which should be soon.
