The F31 is 8 mm thin and weights 185g. The choice of aerospace-grade AM04 aluminium for the frame gives strength without excess weight, while second-phase strengthened glass ensures better resistance to scratches.
The chassis also features a multi-layer cushioning system that acts as an internal shock absorber, protecting sensitive components in case of accidental drops. Even the camera modules are protected by a raised lens ring design, which keeps the glass safe from scratches when the phone rests on a table.
Display Experience
All phones in the F31 Series deliver a great display experience. The OPPO F31 Pro+ carries a 6.8-inch flat AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate, and up to 1600 Nits peak brightness.
The OPPO F31 Pro and OPPO F31 use a slightly more compact 6.5-inch AMOLED panel with the same FHD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate, reaching up to 1400 Nits brightness.
Across the series, the screens deliver vivid colours, deep contrast, and excellent outdoor visibility even under harsh Indian sunlight.
We found scrolling through apps, gaming, and streaming content silky smooth. HDR content looks sharp, and colour calibration keeps visuals accurate without oversaturation.
All three phones also support high-frequency 2160 Hz PWM dimming, which helps reduce eye strain in low-light conditions. This is a feature many Indian users will appreciate, given the amount of time spent reading or streaming in dim settings.
We were impressed by Outdoor Mode 2.0, which extends screen-on-time, boosts brightness for better legibility under sunlight, and amplifies sound alerts for noisy environments. Calls are clearer thanks to enhanced call sound, while Order Rush Boost accelerates network performance for rider apps.
There’s also App Keep-Alive, ensuring essential apps don’t get killed in the background, and Glove Mode plus Splash Touch, which let you use the display comfortably even with gloves on or wet hands. These are thoughtful additions that directly benefit gig workers and those who spend their time outdoors.
Durability and Everyday Resilience
Durability is an area where OPPO has gone all-in with the OPPO F31 Series. The OPPO F31 Pro+, OPPO F31 Pro, and the OPPO F31 are all rated IP66, IP68, and IP69, meaning they can withstand dust, splashes, full immersion in water, and even high-pressure sprays. That is a level of water protection rarely seen in this segment.
All three devices can also handle 18 different liquids, including common ones like coffee, tea, juice, and detergent. This is a very practical addition for Indian households and outdoor environments.
During our hands-on, we tested splashes, spills, and rinsing under running water, and the phones showed no issues. The One-Click Drainage feature uses the speakers to push out any water that may have entered, keeping the sound clear.
Beyond liquids, the phones are designed to handle heat, cold, and salty air, making them suitable for India’s diverse conditions, from scorching summers to coastal humidity.
The aerospace-grade aluminium frame and internal airbag-like protection system give added assurance during drops. In day-to-day terms, these are phones you don’t have to baby; they are meant to withstand the realities of Indian use.
Performance and Gaming
The OPPO F31 Series focuses on bringing smooth performance without overheating the device. The OPPO F31 Pro+ is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, clocked up to 2.63 GHz, paired with an Adreno GPU that is 50% faster than the previous generation.
The OPPO F31 Pro,meanwhile, runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy, which balances power and efficiency. It is also a capable chipset clocked at 2.5 GHz. The standard F31 features the Dimensity 6300 Energy, a 2.4 GHz chip tuned for balanced everyday performance with solid gaming chops.
We pushed all three phones through demanding workloads, including BGMI, PUBG Mobile, and Call of Duty Mobile, and the results were excellent. The OPPO F31 Pro+ in particular shines during long gaming sessions, holding stable frame rates at high graphics settings.
Heat management is another highlight. Both the Pro+ and Pro use OPPO’s largest 5,219 mm² SuperCool vapor chamber, while the F31 uses a slightly more compact yet powerful 4,300 mm² version. These systems keep devices cool, even under the strain of long gaming sessions in India’s heat.
For everyday use, the Dual Engine Smoothness System ensures that the user interface feels consistently fluid. OPPO claims app installation speeds are 26% faster, and in practice, we saw quick installs and a snappy UI.
Combined with LPDDR4X RAM, UFS storage (UFS 3.1 on the Pro models, UFS 2.2 on the F31), and a 72-month fluency certification, these phones won’t slow down after a couple of years.
And when needed, the One-Click Rejuvenation feature can refresh the system, clear background clutter, and make the device feel almost new again. Overall, both the OPPO F31 Series delivers exceptional performance while staying cool, with no overheating concerns.
Battery and Charging
Battery life is one of the strongest aspects of the OPPO F31 Series. All three phones pack a huge 7000 mAh battery, which is almost unheard of in such slim form factors. This capacity easily delivers two days of moderate use, and even heavy users can expect a full day without hunting for a charger.

We also tested Bypass Charging during gaming, and it worked as promised: the device ran directly on the charger, keeping temperatures cooler and preventing unnecessary battery strain during long gaming sessions.
Cameras and AI Features
Cameras are another highlight of these devices. Both the F31 Pro+ and the F31 Pro share the same 50 MP main sensor with OIS, which means stable shots even when hands shake or subjects move.
You also get 4K video recording on both the front and the rear cameras. Both phones also feature a 32 MP front camera, which is perfect for clear selfies, video calls, and of course, 4K video recording too.

The AI features around the cameras make them especially powerful. AI Unblur restores clarity in moving shots, Reflection Remover removes glare from windows or glass, and AI Eraser 2.0 cuts out unwanted objects.
AI Clarity Enhancer helps improve detail in zoom shots, and AI Perfect Shot ensures subjects are framed better and everyone has their eyes open in group photos. AI Recomposer can intelligently adjust composition after a shot, while AI VoiceScribe can transcribe audio in real time, which is very useful for meetings and calls.
Beyond imaging, the phones integrate broader AI utilities. AI Writer can generate summaries and drafts, which is useful for students or professionals. AI Summary can summarize lengthy articles, and AI Speak can help you listen to them.
There’s also an AI assistant for your calls. AI Call Summary records and summarises calls in real time, offering concise overviews or full transcripts and AI Call Translator enables live translation during calls, supporting multiple Indian languages.
We found the AI suite on the OPPO F31 Series to be practical rather than gimmicky, covering scenarios from content creation to productivity and safety.
Connectivity and Network Reliability
The entire F31 Series is equipped with Hunter Antenna Architecture, offering 91.6% antenna coverage and 300% stronger signal reception compared to the previous generation. Combined with India’s first network-boost chip S1, these devices deliver more stable connections even in crowded areas.
They also come with support for 5G++, which delivers great network performance and efficiency. Tested with Jio, this ensures gig workers, delivery partners, and young professionals always stay connected for payments, navigation, and video calls, even in network-congested areas.
Software Experience
On the software front, the devices run ColorOS 15, OPPO’s latest software layer, based on Android 15. The UI is smooth, highly customizable, and packed with thoughtful features for both everyday use and professional scenarios.
We already talked about the Glove Mode, Outdoor Mode 2.0, Splash Touch, and other software features. Integration with Google Gemini and Gemini Live is also available on both devices. In fact, you also get Circle to Search support.
Security is handled robustly. The OPPO Lock feature introduces a remote lockdown system, allowing users to lock devices through customer support after loss. The system blocks forced exits, USB data theft, firmware flashing, and disables NFC.
