Mercedes-Benz Unveils New CLA Electric – Bookings Open On March 10

Mercedes has launched its new electric sedan in India. The new Merdeces-Benz CLA Electric sedan has been unveiled and will be officially launched for the customers in April, with the bookings for the car going live starting March 10. The new Mercedes-Benz CLA Electric has been built on Mercedes-Benz Modular Architecture (MMA) and uses an 85.5kWh battery with a rear-wheel-drive option, which is good for a total claimed range of 792 kilometers. 

The Mercedes-Benz CLA will be 4.7 meters in length and has a 2.8 meter wheelbase, along with 18-inch alloy wheels which frameless doors and a sloping roofline. The Mercedes CLA Electric’s 85.5kWh battery is good for a total of 268 bhp, which will result in a 0 to 100 kmph sprint of 6.7 seconds and a total claimed range of 792 kilometers. Apart from this, the car will also come with a new grille design, which has 142 illuminated stars, connected DRLs, and will be launched in five colours – Alpine Grey, Patagonia Red, Cosmic Black, Clear Blue, and Polar White. 

As far as features go, the Mercedes-Benz CLA Electric comes with a 14-inch infotainment touchscreen display with the next-gen MB.OS AI model which works with ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Bing Copilot. There is also a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, powered and heated front seats with massaging function, a fixed glass roof, backlit dashboard elements, and AMG-detailed upholstery in the interiors.

The Mercedes CLA Electric will be launched in a single CLA 250+ variant which also supports DC fast charging of up to 240kW, which can add 400 kilometers of range in just 20 minutes. In terms of safety, the new Mercedes CLA Electric comes with ADAS level 2, 360-degree camera, dual-zone climate control.
