At its annual business messaging event, Meta announced the latest product updates for WhatsApp users, including AI tools and Meta Verified. The event was held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where Meta announced its plans to invest in new capabilities that help people and businesses connect and get business done on WhatsApp.

WhatsApp For Business Gets An AI Chatbot For Responding To Customer’s Queries

Meta AI for WhatsApp Business

First, let’s discuss the AI tools to help Businesses better assist customers. Meta announced that it is training AI to respond to the most popular questions businesses receive on WhatsApp so customers can quickly find the answers they’re looking for. The platform will also add another feature that will enable businesses to sync their customer list so that the AI system can scan through and identify the right contact.

Businesses Can No Use AI-Based Tools For Setting Up Advertisements

The AI-infused system is designed to target users based on brand awareness conversion. It can also use the information it gathers from other customers to improve its responses. Further, the company is also adding AI-fueled tools to help businesses create Facebook and Instagram ads. For instance, the Conversions API will help brands monitor performance trends across ad campaigns.

Meta Verified Expands To More Business Users In India

Meta Verified for Business

Meta Verified is now available for WhatsApp Business users in Brazil, India, Indonesia, and Colombia. If consumers see a verified badge next to a business’s name, it means the company has registered and verified its information with Meta. Businesses using Meta Verified will get enhanced features, like impersonation protection, multi-device access for employees, and other account support options.

Once a company registers for Meta Verified, the verification badge will also be available on its WhatsApp channel and custom WhatsApp page. Interestingly, the messaging platform has also introduced the ability to call larger businesses on WhatsApp with just one tap. “If you have a complicated travel request or want to discuss opening a new account with your bank, a quick call might be the best way to get help.” This feature will be available to more business users in the coming days.

Other features include custom promotional messages, updated message templates for business, etc. Last but not least, Meta AI will soon be available in Portuguese and other languages.
