It seems TV season as we are seeing brands front and center announcing their releases. Close on the heels of news of Realme and OnePlus, Xiaomi is also getting ready to announce the Mi TV 4A 40 Horizon Edition. A mouthful name aside, the brand hasn’t shared anything else about the TV.

Still, we can make a safe guess that this model shares some of the specifics as to the 32-inch and 43-inch Mi TV 4A Horizon Edition. Also, it will be an upgrade to Mi TV 4A 40. So, here’s what we think you could expect out of this new TV —

A fair estimate is that Xiaomi will employ the same panel found on the other two variants. And as the poster posits the screen will be “bezel-less” and “immersive”. That could mean over 90% screen-to-body ratio. Those TVs were FHD in resolution, which could also be carried over to this unit. For audio, the TV could offer 20W speakers equipped with DTS-HD quality.

Coming to the core, the processor is likely a quad-core Amlogic SoC backed by 1GB of RAM and 8GB of onboard storage. And as for connectivity options may cover three HDMI ports, two USB Type-A ports, an RJ-45 Ethernet port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, WiFi, and Bluetooth 4.2. But again, all of this is speculation until confirmed.

But, what we can be sure about is the Patchwall software based on Android. And you can expect all the popular OTT apps enlisted on the home. You should also be able to transmit mobile content via Chromecast over to the big screen.
