Mi TV Stick with up to 1080p Resolution and Android TV 9.0 Goes Official

Xiaomi has finally launched its streaming dongle called Mi TV Stick at the Ecosystem Product Launch event. This will add smarts to your dumb TV. As the title reads, this tops at 1080p resolution and features Android TV v.9.0.

Mi TV Stick Features

Mi TV Stick is a small black cuboid with an HDMI 2.0 port up-top that you stick into the TV. And once up and running, it clocks at up to 1080p (FHD) resolution.

Inside, it bears an Amlogic S905 Y2 chipset coupled with ARM Mali-450 GPU, 1GB RAM, and 8GB eMMC 5.1 storage. For connectivity, there is support for WiFi and Bluetooth 4.2.

Chromecast is baked right within and amongst other features, you also get Dolby Audio and DTS Surround Sound.

The bundled remote sports dedicated buttons for Google Assistant, Netflix, and Prime Video. It is again a conventional black remote.
