Microsoft Announces New Xbox Series Including 3 Console Variants: Includes Digital Edition Too

Microsoft has announced three new Xbox Series S/X consoles during the Xbox Games Showcase on 9th June. The three new consoles will join the Xbox lineup and include a digital version as well. The newly announced lineup includes a 1TB SSD storage version of the Xbox Series S (in robot white color), an all-digital Xbox Series X, and a 2TB Xbox Series X Special Edition (in Galaxy Black color). The three new console models will make their debut in select markets later in 2024.

New Xbox Series: Price & Availability

The details regarding the availability and price of new Xboxes haven’t been made official yet. Microsoft has asked the users to stay tuned for updates in the coming months as details will be announced soon.

New Xbox Consoles: Features

The new consoles will have the same speed and performance as current Xbox Series S/X Models. You will see changes in terms of new design, storage, and pricing for the new consoles. The digital Xbox Series will be priced lower than the standard Xbox Series X and comes with a disc drive.

Xbox Series X- 1TB Digital Version

The new Xbox Digital version was first tipped last year when leaked court documents from Microsoft Vs YS FTC trial indicated towards Microsoft making a digital Xbox. Now the same has been confirmed by the brand and this all-digital Xbox will launch in 2024. The Xbox will come with 1TB SSD storage and be priced at 449.99 euros which is less than the disc version priced at 499.99 euros. The Xbox will come in a new Robot White shade.

The digital console will aim at digital-first players who prefer buying games digitally over physically.

Xbox Series X- 2TB Version

The special Xbox Series X edition will come with 2TB storage and have a different design. It has a silver, grey, and green celestial effect with a black base color and a green stand. There is a matching Xbox wireless controller as well which includes a Galaxy Black D-PAD and a Velocity green backcase. The Xbox 2TB version comes in a striking Galaxy Black shade and will be manufactured in limited quantities for 599.99 USD. The 2TB version will be arriving in October 2024.

Xbox Series S- 1TB Version

The Xbox Series S was originally launched with 512GB storage. Last year it came in a 1TB version in a carbon black shade. Now, finally, the robot white version will feature 1TB storage as well. Features like 12-fps and Quick Resume will remain the same. It will sell in select markets for 349.99 USD. India pricing and availability haven’t been announced so far.
