Moto G05 India Launch Date Confirmed: First Sale via Flipkart

On January 7, 2025, the new year will kick off with two significant smartphone launches occurring within just a few hours. OnePlus has officially announced the introduction of the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R at its Winter Launch event. Additionally, Motorola has confirmed that the entry-level Moto G05 will also debut in the country on the same day.

The Moto G05, which is set to launch in India, is the successor to the Moto G04 which was released in February 2024. In anticipation of the launch, a microsite on Flipkart has gone live, showcasing the specifications of the device.

Moto G05: Launch Details

The Motorola G05 will launch on 7th January at 12 PM IST. It will sell via Flipkart and pricing will be announced during the launch. Moto G04 was priced at Rs. 6999 so Moto G05 will also cost under 10k.

Moto G05: Specs

The microsite reveals that the Moto G05 will feature a MediaTek Helio G81 chipset, complemented by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, along with virtual RAM capabilities. The device will sport a 6.67-inch display, offering a 90Hz refresh rate, 1000 nits of brightness, and CGG 3 protection. For photography, it will include a 50MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies.

Powering the device will be a 5200mAh battery with 18W charging support. The smartphone will operate on Android 15 and will be equipped with Dolby Atmos audio technology. Additionally, the Moto G05 will feature a vegan leather back and will be available in green and red colors. It will also include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a raised camera module on the rear.
