TL; DR
- We’ll have a Motorola Razr Fold by the end of this year, rivalling smartphones like the Galaxy Z Fold 7 (and the purported Fold 8) and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold (and its upcoming successor).
- Renowned tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks on X) has shared what appears to be a marketing banner for a smartphone called the “Motorola Razr Fold.” It looks like a banner with the name at the top and three bullet points.
- Given that the handset would have to compete with the Fold 8 and the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, and possibly the Apple Fold (rumored to launch later this year), the company will have to equip it with the best possible specifications or price it very aggressively.
The Lenovo-owned smartphone brand Motorola could soon venture into a category that it hasn’t touched before: book-style foldables. For years, the company has launched various iterations of its flip-style foldable, the Motorola Razr.
However, from what it sounds like, we’ll have a Motorola Razr Fold by the end of this year, rivalling smartphones like the Galaxy Z Fold 7 (and the purported Fold 8) and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold (and its upcoming successor).

Motorola’s First Fold Could Provide Several AI-Based Features
Renowned tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks on X) has shared what appears to be a marketing banner for a smartphone called the “Motorola Razr Fold.” It looks like a banner with the name at the top and three bullet points.
The banner mentions how the Razr Fold is the “first in the fold form factor, coming later this year.” Further, it also mentions that the Razr Fold “will offer brilliant displays, intelligent AI, and an advanced, coundary-creaking camera system.”
The banner also mentions how the brand could reveal more information about the foldable “in the coming months.” It is worth noting that this isn’t the first time there has been a buzz about the purported foldable.
Early in December, several journalists received a holiday package from Motorola, with a box inscription that reads “Every fold reveals a possibility.” Given that the company doesn’t have a “Fold” in its portfolio yet, it signalled the brand’s possible entry into the book-style foldable category.

Given that the handset would have to compete with the Fold 8 and the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, and possibly the Apple Fold (rumored to launch later this year), the company will have to equip it with the best possible specifications or price it very aggressively.
Motorola’s latest flip-style foldables, the Razr 60 5G and the Razr 60 Ultra 5G, are priced at Rs. 49,999 and Rs. 79,999, respectively. Even the higher-end flagship is much more affordable than the closest rival, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 5G that costs Rs. 1,09,999.
More details about the Motorola book-style foldable should surface online in the coming days.
