New OTT Platform JioStar TV Channel Packs Announced: Price Starts At Rs. 15

The merger that has been on the horizon for a while now has finally been completed. The biggest merger in OTT space has taken place between Disney+Hotstar and Jio Cinema aka RIL and Walt Disney Company. The giants have combined forces to deliver diverse content across TVs, OTT platforms, and movies to consumers. The new platform will be called JioStar and focus on entertainment, sports, and more.

The venture includes names like Star and Colors on TV, Jio Cinema, and Disney+Hotstar on OTT, and includes over 100 TV channels with a 50 million strong subscriber base. JioStar.com is live now and details about channel packs and subscription plans have surfaced online.

JioStar Subscription Plans

Star Premium & Star Value- Both are available in nine languages.

Star Premium offers access to premium content from Disney+Hotstar while Star Value provides access to a selection of popular movies, and TV Shows.

The prices start at Rs. 57 for SD and Rs. 99 for HD plans.

The JioStar TV Channel Packs are available in nine languages including Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, and Odia. The channels will come in Standard as well as High Definition (SD/HD).
