Flipkart has launched the Nokia Smart TV in India, in dint of its strategic partnership with the Finnish brand. This one’s a 55-inch ultra-HD TV with sound by JBL. Although they are called the first-ever Nokia-branded TVs, they are technically produced, distributed and marketed by the e-commerce giant.

The real novelty is the 24W JBL speakers coupled with Dolby Audio and DTS TruSurround system aimed to deliver better audio experience. Flipkart claims to address the lackluster audio quality found in televisions in this segment.

Nokia Smart TV features

On the display front, you get a 55-inch UHD panel as already mentioned. This boasts array level dimming, wide color gamut, and Dolby Vision. It brings MEMC ( Motion Estimation, Motion Compensation) technology which is used to manage video interpolation and reduce blurs and lags. It achieves up to 400 nits of brightness.

The sound signature is tuned by JBL and vaunts deep bass, clear vocal tones, and minimal harmonic distortion. You also get support for Dolby Audio and DTS TruSurround in the kitty.
