Carl Pei’s company, Nothing, has officially announced a launch event scheduled for March 4th to unveil the Nothing Phone (3a) series. The company recently disclosed that the Phone (3a) series will be equipped with a Snapdragon chipset, confirming previous rumors that suggested Phone (3a) Pro would feature the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, as evidenced by a listing on Geekbench. The smartphone has also appeared on Geekbench, providing additional insights into its specifications.

Nothing Phone (3a) Pro: Leaks & Rumors

The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro has been identified with model number A059P, which corresponds to the model referenced in a camera test video derived from the EXIF data of camera samples. This information indicates that the device is equipped with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, an Adreno 810 GPU, 12GB of RAM, and runs on Android 15 OS.

Recently, Nothing hosted a community preview event in collaboration with Snapdragon, where participants engaged in a puzzle to design their ideal phone using 100 credits. Among the specifications highlighted was the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, along with commitments for three Android OS updates, four years of security patches, a 120Hz AMOLED display boasting 2500 nits of brightness, and a 5000mAh battery supporting 50W fast charging.

Recent reports have suggested that the Phone (3a) series may feature a 6.72-inch display. Additionally, unconfirmed details include a 50MP main sensor equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP periscope lens offering 3x optical zoom and 6x lossless zoom.

It is expected to utilize a 1/1.95-inch Sony Lytia LYT 600 sensor. On the front, a 50MP selfie camera is anticipated. Furthermore, Nothing is set to unveil a new ‘Essential’ key with its forthcoming smartphone, which could provide various functionalities, including screen recording and voice recording capabilities.

The Nothing Phone (3a) and Nothing Phone (3a) Pro are set to be released on March 4. In anticipation of the launch, pricing details for the devices in certain European markets have surfaced. A report from the French publication Dealabs indicates that the base model of the Phone (3a) will be available in configurations of 8GB/12GB and 12GB/256GB, with approximate prices of EUR 349 (Rs. 31,500 approx.) and EUR 399 (Rs. 36,000 approx.) respectively. This pricing approach appears to align with that of its predecessor, the Phone (2a).

The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro is anticipated to launch in a sole configuration of 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, priced at EUR 479 (approximately Rs. 43,000). If this information is accurate, the Phone (3a) Pro will become the priciest non-flagship model in the Nothing lineup. It is expected to be offered in black and grey color options. Additionally, the report provides details on the release dates for the entire (3a) Series: The Nothing Phone (3a) is set to be available starting March 11, while the Phone (3a) Pro will be released on March 25.
