Ola Electric scooters launched in India: Here’s how to pre-book

Ola Electric has finally launched its first electric scooter in India presenting two models – Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro. The electric scooter ships in a powerful Hyperdrive 8.5kW motor, ten colours. large boot space, an iconic headlamp, and many smart controls.

Ola co-founder Bhavish Aggarwal kicked off the launch event on August 15 with the claim that the Ola S1 as the best scooter ever made. Let’s get in details.

Ola S1 and S1 Pro Price & Availability

Ola Electric has set the price of the Ola S1 electric scooter starting at INR 99,999 and the Ola S1 Pro is priced at INR, 1,29,999. The purchase of the electric scooter will start from September 8 and the company will start delivering from October 8. For now, the new electric scooter can be reserved at Rs 499 from the company’s official website

Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro Electric Scooters Features

Both the Ola Electric scooters come with a Hyperdrive motor with a peak power of 8.5kW. The standard Ola S1 boasts a maximum speed of 90Kmph and the Pro model can go up to 115Kmph of speed. The S1 can accelerate from zero to 40Kmph in 3.6 seconds while the Pro can achieve it in just 3 seconds.

The Pro variant has three modes – Normal, Sports, and Hyper. While the Ola S1 settles with Norma and Sports modes. Upon one complete charging, Ola S1 Pro covers a maximum range of 181km and Ola S1 to 121km. 

The Ola Electric scooters boast a 7-inch touchscreen display for the purposes like GPS navigation, making calls, sending messages, and letting you know different alerts. The scooter is equipped with a 1.8Ghz octa-core processor paired with 3GB onboard RAM. It supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. It also lets you control the functioning through voice control.

The electric scooter can be efficiently connected to a smartphone for a keyless experience. The display can be customized to a variety of widgets. The scooter has a built-in speaker. Ola electric has brought the Ola S1 Pro in a total of ten colours with a combination of both glossy and matte finish. The Ola S1 offers the owner to choose from five colours. 

How to book your Ola Electric scooter

  1. Visit the official website of Ola Electric to proceed with booking or visit book.olaelectric.com
  2. Select one of the offered variants – Ola S1 Pro and Ola S1. Also, select the desired colour from the shown colour palette. 
  3. Click on the ‘Reserve now’ button
  4. Enter your mobile number and verify with OTP
  5. Enter your name and a valid email address
  6. Fill in the required fields and do the payment.

The applicants will be notified of the essential details post the payment. Note that the electric scooters will be available for purchase from September 8.
