A few days ago, OnePlus China President Li Jie confirmed that the company will soon launch a special edition of the OnePlus 11 smartphone and will challenge the smartphone industry by doing something impossible.

He also shared a poster that revealed the new edition will be made of unprecedented materials and craftsmanship, making each smartphone unique and pushing the flagship design forward. Li Jie shared some images that suggest OnePlus 11 space edition comes with a Jupiter-inspired design.

Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station claims that the OnePlus 11 special edition will have a unique space material on its back. This material has never been used on any smartphone before and unlike glass, the back panel of this special edition will feel cool when touched. This material is used in daily life but it is not glass.  The tipster also confirmed that it will not be the same as OnePlus 11 Concept that was showcased at the MWC 2023 last month.

Ever since this piece of information has been revealed, consumers have been making their own assumptions. A user on Weibo suggested that the material being used could be marble, while others claim that it might have color-shifting capabilities similar to the Vivo V27. An anonymous leaker has shared some images of this special edition of the OnePlus 11 which have been inserted in the post above. The device in these images looks exactly like OnePlus 11 but the back cover has a Jupiter surface texture and to some, it does look like marble.

There is no official information about the specs of the device, but they are most likely to be similar to OnePlus 11 5G regular edition.
