Days before its official debut, the OnePlus 12’s hands-on images have leaked online. We already knew the smartphone would feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and a triple camera setup in the iconic circular camera module. Further, the leaked renders also revealed the overall design, which includes a punch-hole display on the front and a bezel-less display.

Indian leakster Shishir has shared a hands-on image of the smartphone, courtesy of Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station. The picture shows the OnePlus 12 in its green color, but only the front panel is visible. Nonetheless, we see the lock screen wallpaper, which looks like a shiny green stone, with the time and date on the top left corner, a large fingerprint scanning area toward the bottom, and a couple of shorts in the bottom corners.

Curved Screen With 4,500 Nits Of Peak Brightness

Further, we can also see a hint of curved edges on the smartphone, but not as aggressively as we might have seen on smartphones. Instead, it’s just a slight curve that would provide a better in-hand feel than most boxy phones. It is important to mention that OnePlus 12 would ship with a 6.82-inch QHD+ BOE X1 display, which is pretty much the extent of what large smartphones are. Hence, the curved edges would make it easier for users to maneuver the phone.

Shishir also shares a few details about the screen. For instance, the OnePlus 12 would have a LTPO screen that could vary refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz. Further, it also has a resolution of 550 pixels per inch and 2,160Hz PWM dimming. Last but not least, the smartphone has a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, which appears to be more than any other flagship on the market, including Galaxy S23, the upcoming iQoo 12, or the Pixel 8 series.

OnePlus 12 Launch Date

Nonetheless, the OnePlus 12 will come out in China on December 5, 2023, and probably on December 23 or December 24 (based on recent reports) for the rest of the world, including India.
